Yeah the seabreeze hit pretty hard!
I was just rigging up, saw a few people get caught out with a dropping wind and small sails.

I saw it (from the office window). I don't think that was a seabreeze yesterday arvo. Way too strong and transient. Geez it hit hard and fast. Like a small front. Perhaps a good meteorologist might be able to give us their learned opinion, hey AB.

Yesterday's seabreeze was great! Where was everyone? I sailed Dendy St on my own from 6:30 to 8 in consistent 18-20knots. Finally got Shakas sorted out! Was an awesome session! Great to get a seabreeze. I've got to admit though that this has been the worst season for seabreezes in the 10 years I've lived in Melbourne.

was going to sail dendy, but assumed everyone would have been at work, so i opted for a place where there was one other guy out, pity the wind was **** and dropped out.

Lucky we had a good sail yesterday (thursday).

If ya heading to dendy again fletch, throw us a text, and ill meet ya down there.

Back to Jman's original post - I'm curious having only been windsurfing 2 seasons, but there seems to be a serious lack of "proper" seabreeze's in the bay this summer. Last season from memory was a lot more SW and consistent from day to day. Is this the case or was last season better than most?

i dont know why we all own windsurfers whats the point we dont get any clean wind just crapy cold fronts that tease ya. and they keep saying on seabreeeze WA blows 25 + every day find that hard to believe.

this is not victorias wind i know

i blame the drought anyway for the wind shortage

rain rain come please

I'd agree that it appears that we haven't had many seabreezes cf. last year. But we have had some good days - especially just before xmas.

There also appears to be a serious lack of SW'er last year and this year... although last Saturday was good.
