I took the boat out to Middle Bank yesterday morning for an exploratory. Visibility with the fog was less than 100 metres, so as far as checking it out as a wavesailing spot, it was a complete waste of time.
I didn't post an invite to anyone as I thought the visibility would be crap so we'll still have to do it another time. Water was perfect for boating though- wind less than 5 kts and really smooth sea.
I did get to see a submarine moored in the foggy gloom not far from Cerberus which was kind of weird. And saw some guys stuck in their boat on a mudflat after they cut a corner out of the channel from the boat ramp. They must have been there for about 3 hours until the tide returned.
