Windsurfing Victoria with SHQ and the local crew around Ballarat are hosting the Learn to Windsurf series including the first round of the WV Course Racing series plus other fun racing events. The event starts at about 10am at Lake Learmonth on the 28/10/12. A number of clinics will be held including beginner, intermediate and racing techniques.

Before the first round of the WV/SHQ Freerace series at Sandy Point, come down to Ballarat for some tips and practice.

What a great day and turn out.

The day started off with a BBQ pancakes followed by WV and SHQ giving intermediate and beginner clinics on and off the water. With a BBQ lunch.

During the afternoon we held two WV Course Racing races. With a number of entrants with kit ranging from raceboards to RS:Ones to funboards to WindSUPs to slalom to beginner boards. There was heaps of fun with plenty of smiles and laughter. A total of $300 price money was up for grabs. Three of the top four racers for the day walked away with $100 each. Well done to all.

WV also handed over their next WV Teach a Mate kit to the crew at Ballarat. This included a newish beginner rig and board. So any WV members local to Ballarat can borrow the kit to teach their mates and family.
