Windsurfing Victoria (WV) with support from Parkdale Yacht Club (PYC) is currently planning for the next WV Classic (Summer Edition) on the 2nd December 2012 from PYC.

As per last season's WV Classic, this event will be full of classic activities (Inc. fancy dress option for the relay race). It will also include a round of the WV/SHQ Freerace and WV Course Racing series.

The event structure will be based around social fun, like we had in the 80s and 90s. All entrants can be part of a Team. Some of events we are planning to run are;
• Course Racing triangle race (water start, with a upwind leg) – counts towards WV Course Racing Series
• Slalom downwind M race (beach start, as many laps as possible within a set time period) – counts towards WV/SHQ Freerace Series
• Relay Race (beach start, to outer marker and back)

The schedule of these races would be based on the weather and other PYC club day activities on the day. With regards to the beach start races. A marked off area will be setup by WV with PYC to ensure safety and access for all beach users.

More details on the event will be posted in the next week or so, so stay tuned.

Pretty sure we have the best team costumes!

I ordered the trophies yesterday. First team and best fancy dress.

I am pretty impressed with our team's costume... though my mask hasn't come yet and I'm worried that I won't be able to see enough through the little holes to sail if it's windy
