Worth noting that you need to be a WV member to participate.

I can certainly testify to other "B graders" that last years events (I sailed at Waratah and Pt Impossible), were very good fun. And as a wave novice there was zero pressure and plently of time to sail outside the days format with other newbies.

Get into it.

Great to hear!
For next season we really want to focus on giving a lot more sailors new to waves an opportunity to come and have a sail in the waves at a spot where it’s safe, not to difficult and there will be plenty of guys around to offer a hand..
We are going to be keeping an eye on the conditions and if the wind guru’s make the call it will be good learning conditions at a safe location i.e. Sandy pt we will really try and push the point that the upcoming weekend will be a ‘beginner friendly’ day and in conjunction with one of the rounds we will have some of the more experienced guys on hand to do a quick instructional course on wavesailing in the hope to get a few more guys out there!

We want to be able to help guys out with everything they need to know from what gear to rig to how to bottom turn or even some tips for guys wanting to try their first loops etc..
Keep your eyes posted on the website & soon to be announced Facebook page!
Also working on an SMS system to get the word out when the conditions are on!!

Any more requests/comments speak up now!!

FOR THE RECORD - someone has made a mistake as the dates that have been put up on the website are from last year explaining why they are out by a day.

the dates above are correct and someone will be updating the website soon.

friday and saturday are shaping up nicely at this stage so hopefully everyone can get out in the waves for some practise before it all starts up.

zac - you need to be a member of windsurfing vic for insurance purposes. you will probably be able to sign up to the actual wavesailing comp on the day but it would be easier if you've already signed up.

Hey guys sorry about the confusion about the dates.. all fixed up now!

So the official start to the season is next weekend - 18th or 19th
Fingers crossed for a good forecast.

The series is now on Facebook so that is just another avenue to keep people who are interested up to date when a comp may be on!
