I was going to go to Ricketts but if Sandy point is a goer I could be tempted...

I'm thinking the same thing...I think a W at Waratah will be pretty onshore unless it has a decent amount of North in it as well...

I'm waiting for the updated forecast but the reason I was thinking Sandy was that it'll be way more windy than the bay. Ricketts is great in a solid Westerly but I'm thinking it'll only be about 20knots here.

Based on the forecast the wind should be going NW in the afternoon on Sunday so I was going to go freestyling on the inlet in the westerly in the morning and then wavesail the gap at Waratah Bay in the afternoon on an incoming tide which is sweet cross off in a NW/WNW.

I'll wait till Saturday night/Sunday morning to make the call though - if it's howling westerly in the bay then I may just go to Ricketts....

Might go to Rye in morning. Been sailing solo at Mornington mon-thurs so be nice to have company. Ricketts sounds fun but I don't like sailing that tack in that wind direction.

I agree with you mate. Its *always* windier down there at Waratah, minimum 5 knots more, if its NW I may go the drive as well....BOM says 3-5 meter swell, so that means at least 2 meters at Waratah.

I would have join you as I am picking up a tractor part in Fish Creek but both boards are in for repairs. Cracked their noses like I did to mine. Watch out for the swans Give Drift a hard time if he is still going down

Doug, I have a 130L Naish Icon you can borrow, but I am not sure if it will fit on my roof with three other boards as I am likely ride sharing with another guy. If someone can pick it up from Burwood you are most welcome to use it. If not let me know and we will see if it fits on the roof racks with all the other clobber.

Sorry Guys, Saw all your offers and ideas too late. Beside I will be doing much more exciting things like chainsawing up 2 * 60 ft gum trees that got blown over and repairing fences. Now are you all envious
Have a good time but I want to hear the reports of the carnage

I ended up at Pt Henry for a few hours. Had a blast and showed off my expert crashing skills to the new girlfriend.

Really clean down there today, not as bad or weedy as last week.
