I thought that if you are planning to go out somewhere you could post location date and time, so that lone windsurfers might know where to go if they dont want to risk going out on their own. Got a bit sketchy out there for me today and I was all alone. I usually go out there with a buddy of mine, but I think he's taken up kiting secretly.

BAH! Kiting! My neck was swollen up like jaba the hut - so piked based on my apparance through fear of looking like a seal. I blame sitting in the rain at the MCG watching the Saints beat Geelong.......

Boom (clew) smacked me in my face. Helmet wouldnt have helped (unless it had a full face screen)

It is good idea.
I was going to use my Twitter account for the same reason. If anyone wanted to know where I was sailing and if you want to come and join me and the crew I sail with.

Na! That was me all on my own at G.P. Fun little waves though I guessed the numbers were at Ricketts but I got too lazy to drive the extra 10 minutes. If I got into strife, the westerly would have blown me back to shore.

WindRider, set a location for them tho, for example, rye looks good for this weekend. Lets try and get every one at the same place, the more crowds we get the more our sport will grow. Last weekend we got about 30 guys jamming in the wind at rye. This weekend lets try and get that number we got a while ago when 50 windsurfers all jammed on in the wind. I really want windsurfing to grow, and I want victoria to be known as the windsurf state and not the kite capital...

The other thing that is important is not crystalising a plan too early.

Lets start the thread on Friday and avoid getting our hopes up.

If you spend all weekend convinced that Saturday is going to be good - when it ends up looking lame, you tend to end up forcing a sail when really it's better to do something else.

Heading down to Green Point now. Be there at 4.10pm. Do a POET and come and join me.
