That's what I though... perhaps a lull on a small sail..........

I would say a lull. I was driving along there at the time and the wind was very gusty with big lows and major gusts. They may have waited for the windsurfer to slow down to focus the camera.

that was just before it got ugly (reached 122km/h). It must have been around 25 knots at the time of that picture. I know the sailor, he was using a 4.2
