Hey just letting any Dawson ave sailors know that there have been a few stingrays hanging around the launch area lately, probably always been there just never seen them until now.

Anyway was talking to a fellow windsurfer yesterday and he showed me a big hole in his foot from stepping on one recently!

Not nice Im told with a trip to hospital and morphine for the pain!

So drag your feet around instead of stepping is probably a good idea!

And if you are unlucky enough to get stung I'm told soaking your foot in very hot water is a way neutralizing the toxin for some relief.

Is Dawson Ave still legit? I thoought Pookiipa state park was closed for business - great news if not.

Yep its open just stay upwind of the swimming pole if its a nice day and the swimmers are out.

Nearly stood on one at Ricketts South on Saturday, right in almost on the beach. Scared the @#$%^& out of me.

And those big f*ckn jelly fish are back with a vengeance. Can they stink? Dropped a gybe at Mentone today and kicked something hard and slippery under the water.

Was wondering why there weren't many swimmers out yesterday, we won't have to worry about swimming zones if this keeps up

@djwally will tell you all about it... he stood on one a few years back windsurfing at Ricketts and ended up at the horse-piddle too.
