Moving to Edithvale to live- best spots to rig / sail in the area ? - is Gnotuck still popular or is Carrum or Bonbeach a better spot to operate from? Also ,daughter in Perth going out with a teabagger - should I cut off the inheritance, disown her , or plan a assassination plot ? Obviously I have failed as a parent.

Gnotuk is possible, but the trees and plants have grown, making rigging difficult . You'd be better to go down to Bonbeach, where there is an active crew.

Re daughter: the Aztecs had a custom that could be revived....... something to do with heart transplants. Suggest you save her until Autumn of next year when the gods might be persuaded to give us wind.

Believe it or not by my handle I sail out of Gnotuk (due to proximity) but it is very rare that there is ever anyone else there.
In the last few weeks the council has put in a boardwalk and at the southern end there is a deck area right next to the car park the exact right size for rigging my 7.0mt sail so very happy with that

More head to Williams rd car park in Bonbeach now because of the grassed areas to rig up (northern end of car park)

As dodosurf says, the wassup bunch are super friendly and welcoming in Chelsea

Hi mobi, there's a big crew of friendly guys that sail bonbeach regularly, also worth having a look at parkdale when seabreeze season starts because bonbeach is usually pretty $hite on sea breezes where as parkdale will have up to 5-10 knots more most times. Hope to see you out there!

Hey mate - welcome to the hood. I am a Parky local (Damien). There are a few of us who sail from here. We rig up just above the yacht club. It's a good spot in most wind directions. Like others, also sail occasionally down at Bonbeach as well. Sometimes at Rickett's point too. Parkdale and Bonbeach are both great though.

Re: daughter, she's clearly going through a stage. Probably doing it to wind you up. Though if it were me, I would still write her out of the will.

On the seabreezes, if you work in the city, I would recommend you take gear to work, and on the way home stop in at Elwood (dawson ave) and sail there, it is even better than parkdale, much more consistent wind and the sea breezes seems to blow for longer into the evening, and the direction is far better being cross to cross on with a few good little kicker waves in front of the large poo pipe. Lots of people sail there, and free parking.

Anyway hope to see you on the water soon....

Would agree with Big M on this advice. Or Cole St in Brighton. The wind is stronger further up the bay on a seabreeze.
