Ahhh where is Kona lad and windwarning when a Northerly is forecast for the weekend. Life on the Vic Forum is a bit dull without him and his Red Bull

Rye or Safety Beach.....looks more than likely to be Saturday.
Let me know where you're at for Sunday and I'll see if I can sneak out.....!

Rye for me on Sat. late morning after work. Tried Safety beach last Sat. for the first time and loved it, but that was on a WSW. Those sweet ramps will be wasted on me on my bad tack. Just hope the tide isn't super low again.

I wonder what it would be like to sail off from St Leonards (NW of Rye)... Has anyone sailed there?

Great show at Rye! At one stage I think there must have been more than 15 windsurfers there.

Have to head out Sunday afternoon so just going to do a dawn sail at Mornington. Have fun at Rye and get your booties out, it's getting damn cold!

Well glad to see you're still alive and kicking. You do have a bad habit of stiring people on the general windsurf forums, but as someone said at least you get the Vic forums going.

Enjoy your sail today. Could only head out this morning and it's not picking back up until this afternoon, so I guess I miss out today. Have a great sail all.

Yeah it was a really good challenge 40+ gusts.....At one stage I was well over powered on my 4.0, but it eased off a bit in the arvo...

Looks pretty tame today in comparison....Hope they get the Rye web cam fixed soon!

I too got blown of the water in them big gusts in the morning with the 4.4

I packed up about lunchtime in the rain took off the wettie ready to go home defeated then the rain stoped wind eased and a couple of mates turned up and talked me into going back out . Rigged the same sail put the nice cold wettie back on thinking I must be stupid. I was still overpowerd at times but glad I went back out for a couple of hours

Yeah I was on my 5.3 (smallest sail). Around 12pm it was pretty much just survival sailing. Just bought a great Carve 99 off Bonduluci and was trying it out for the first time. Was really worried about having a nasty catapult and smashing it. Just like Jman, I considered packing it in but then it eased off, and turned into a great afternoon. Bondalucci said he had a friend there that recognised his old board, was that you Jman? I had the blue voodoo sail with the RPS and fanatic sticker on.

I did see the carve on saturday and recognized you from your aviater.

We have actually met at Mt martha a couple of seasons ago.

I had the green/silver NP on a Starboard Evo with grey helmet.

I didnt know it was Bondy's board until I sailed with him yesterday and he told me he had sold it to leman. Next time i will flag you down and say gday.

Ah yes I remember following you on the water at one stage admiring your board. Yeah come say g'day. Obviously a bunch of you were there Sat. but I have no idea who is who.

Pretty sure I recognised Windaddict too by his sail, if he was using the same one as his avatar. Bright sail without the modern wind leech.
