Guess I'll just do the usual winter thing and hit Rye again in the morning. Hopefully there will be a good showing there. The bit of west may add some better jumping opportunities.

Was saying to Scott when last there how good a wind blocking wall with glass viewing window and a BBQ or 2 would be there. Everyone brings some sausages, bread and drink and take turn flipping and sailing. Last time I had to make do with a cup-a-soup. Oh well one can dream.

Look forward to catching some of you tomorrow.

Well that was a flop. Wind sat at about 17knots, occassionally gusting above 20.

Gnotuk had some huge winds!

My recorder read 24 knots, rigged up, then it turned west and gusty.

At a conservative guess it would've peaked around 29 knots.

Was too much for me and meowed out.

I think the wind strength at Rye was more like 10-15 with the odd gust around 20 The annoying part is that while we were waiting for the wind my mate was blasting on his wave board and 5.3 sail at Bonbeach. I only started going back to Rye last Winter. In future if the wind is NNE I will head to rye if its NNW I will stay North of Frankston and sail at Bono or Green p.
