The early bird catches the wind @ Rye! or that is what I am hoping I would be going later if it wasn't for the fact my wife has a baby scan tomorrow arvo and if I am late I don't think I will ever get out again!
You've got NO IDEA Roso - it gets worse from here on in, MUCH worse! I made the classic mistake of finding a sport I really enjoy, buying the kit last November, sailing all summer (badly, but sailing all the same) and then hitting the babymaking jackpot earlier this year. Some kind of anti-windsurfing hormone kicks in at about 20 weeks - just after the main scan - and it gets more and more vindictive as time wears on. That space where you keep your gear...now reserved for prams/buggies. That grand you had salted away for a new top end carbon mast....nursery fees mate. My advice - attend the scan - say all the right things and then get as much sailing in as you can before the next one. Cos you never know when the last one might be (according to my missus).
Should form a new lobby group against this discrimination
- Windsurfing Potential New Fathers Anonymous. Couldn't think of an acronmym - sure my missus could though.
