Hi All,
just letting you know that RPS and the Inverloch Windsurf Club are conducting a combined windsurf clinic and Demo Day this Sunday, 8th Nov at Inverloch from 9.30 am. Beginners are most welcome. Beginners demo boards will include the ever-popular Starboard Go, as well as the new Starboard 12'6" Sup'er, complete with daggerboard!

Amac and Martin Love from KA Sails will also attend with all of the latest KA sails and will also hold a tech clinic for those sailors who want to learn more about tweaking their rig.

Kick off will be from 9.30 am at the usual location being next to the Angling Clubhouse.

Weather is forecast to be 31 degrees and a light SE wind! Perfect!
Phone RPS The Board Store on 9525-6475 for further details

I promise I won't be teaching you my technique of hitting the bottom at 40 knots and trashing gear. I perfected it yesterday!!!
Looking forward to meeting everybody, lets hope the wind co-operates.

Whats the best forecast to go by for down there? Normally I just look at the Coastal waters Victoria. Central Coast, Cape Otway to Wilsons Promontory forecast. Is there a more accurate one, and/or a web cam located at inverloch?

Carbon boom in multiple pieces. Fin box looks ok but will pressure test to make sure of no cracks. Scratches on my spanking new KA Assy 21 Speed fin, board appears unscathed but need to give it a careful look over.

Really sore leg, neck ,shoulder and arm but apart from that all is good.

Walking back after my second run I thought , mmm it,s pretty shallow I am pushing it a bit. 3rd run, whamo. I was lying in 12 inches of water saying to myself, man that hurt, man that was really stupid!!!!

I think I learned my lesson.

Hey Addict,
look at Pound Creek and add about 3-5 knots if its got any West or South in it.
Otherwise check all our local feeds on the IWC page- http://www.driftmedia.com.au/iwc/IWC/Weather.html

What ever became of that boat out in the middle of the inlet? Seemed like it was there forever and then just vanished.

The cats out the bag, and no wonder Salty's got a quivvering lip with excitement. His favourite pop star (of all time) is scheduled to turn up, and despite rumours to the contrary, it isn't Janis Joplin (dead, I'm afraid), Stevie Nicks (getting her roots done) or Boy George (imprisoned, again). Yes, Salty's booked everyone's favourite Aussie pin up boy....and he's coming to Inverloch just for you!

Steady ... Peter Andre

Pop Star Peter Andre and his brother, Mike, will be down in Inverloch, on the south coast of Australia filming for his reality TV show, and dropped into the IWC for some windsurfing lessons from long term PWA star Old Salty.

Naturally, the paparazzi were out in force, and like everything Mr Andre does these days, the pictures and story made it straight into the pages of the nationals.

Says Old Salty:#8232;#8232;"Peter seemed to love it and both himself and his brother Mike are booked in for regular lessons with us, which I think can only help increase awareness of windsurfing to the masses. It was actually being filmed for one of his TV shows for his upcoming series which starts in December in the UK, so keep an eye out for it to see how he got on."

Ok - so I changed a couple of words there...but try this for a Friday smile - you just don't get headlines like this in 'Straylia
