Yesterday was the last round of the WV Learn Windsurfing and Course Racing Series. The final day we had out a good number of competitors with kit ranging from Raceboards to Windsurfing One Designs to Hybrids (e.g. RS:Ones) to Wind SUP and funboards. We also had at least four women competitors as well.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves and so did the spectators along beach and on the yacht club's balcony.
The final race results will be on the WV website shortly. The awards night for this series will be as part of the WV Classic on the 1st April 2012 at PYC.
I would like to thank WV committee, Parkdale Yacht Club, Mordialloc Sailing club, WaSSuP, SBHQ and SHQ; for their support throughout this series. I would also like to thank the windsurfing students and competitors that attended throughout the series. WV will be looking at hosting a winter series from MSC starting some time in August.
