Quick clip before I went windsurfing today. Wasn't really set up for getting footage and only went for a little fly around to check out the conditions. Will probably try and do a proper drone video at some point...

Great angle, it was a good day, lots of good size fun waves to be had with the swell picking up after midday.

That's great. You should post that in the best vids of 2016 thread. I don't know why people travel across the country when you've got such a great windsurfing wave so close to home

That footage wasn't average at all. What drone did you use may I ask?

Looks Like an Inspire or Inspire 2

It is an Inspire but the footage could have come from a Phantom, Mavic or Inspire. Trust me it is average! I would love an Inspire Two as I think I could do some really cool stuff with it just not sure my drone business can justify it for flying over water.

The only problem is that its only good a few times a year...usually < 10 per year...

How much wind? Does the inspire 1 cope with much? I am looking at inspire 2 as so fast... less with the x4 camera...

I have a commercial drone business. I like flying but normally outsource editing etc to others. I have used my Inspire in solid 30 knots, most drone users wouldn't entertain that. That is pretty much right on the limit for the Inspire. Take off and landings are difficult and makes my progress and not the wind isn't easy. My miniquads don't really notice wind but it is things like gimbals etc that struggle.

I haven't used the Inspire 2 yet and am also considering one although for many of the things I do over water smaller airframes are easier as you can hand launch and recover, take off easier from boats etc. if you get an inspire two would love to hear what you think. It is a 12k setup that I would get and am not sure it is worth it.
