I agree totally. But if he recovers and decides he is hungry or just curious, and takes a chunk out of a little kid playing in the shallows, someone whose job it is to oversee these things is going to feel pretty stupid/guilty that it wasn't relocated to safer waters.
Was watching a couple of very strong swimmers doing training laps off the buoy at Dendy last night - both chaperoned by a paddler on a surf ski. A few terrified glances skywards when the 7 News Heli hovered above them for 30 secs or so - probably bored already of the Grand Prix at AP. Didn't stop them training though. Interestingly, the guy whose doing my roof saw my gear in the garage yesterday (no Salty, he didn't blow the dust off) and unprompted told me about the bronze whaler that had nudged his tinny in 3m just off Parkdale a fortnight ago. Said it ruined his day as he was on to some nice flatties.
