Surf Coast local legend Darren Williams has successfully campaigned towards an extension of the Whale Observation Deck at 36W on 13th Beach. The Barwon Coast Committee of Management have been quick to respond and act on the construction which is now completed and being used by local and visiting windsurfers/kiters/surfers to safely rig and de-rig. This new deck, which I will affectionately referre to as 'Dazza's Deck', now gives us the space to set up and pack up away from the dusty car park in a more pleasant and safe environment. It is important that we respect the efforts extended to provide us this great new facility and be sure to continue to protect the Sand Dunes and Local Environment by ensuring that we proceed to the beach using the provided steps
