Most reliable northerly in winter?

So where is the most reliable place to sail around the bay on a northerly in winter? I' ve been caught out at green point but usually if I wait long enough I go home happy. Rye? Been caught out there too but because its a 2 hour round trip I don't hang around waiting. Is Swan Bay similar to Rye in reliability in winter?

I find Rye best early ..... But it can drop out by late morning e.g yesterday...
