Hey mate, great blog. Your vacation rental looks like it is in the spot - with a short walk to Spreckelsville Beach. Can you tell me what vacation rental agency you used to book your property through and who did you get your van from? I am going over for a mid winter break and any insight you can give me would be appreciated. Have a great windsurfing holiday - I lived there for years in the 80s and 90s - its a water persons paradise. Good on you - live it up.

Hey Martin,
No Mates is where I hang when I just want some water-time headspace. Also, you're always assured of a carpark and you don't cop everyone else's dirty air!

On good days, there's also chicks in bikini's serving beer, the beach is scattered with palm trees and there's a band playing reggae music!

Isn't it funny. Fellow sailors in Maui, the Mecca and we all wait anxiously for the success stories in the same way as if your mate was shagging a supermodel.

Geez to be their age again. I lived the dream as these guys are back in 1988. Five blokes sailing everyday for an entire month. Still have very fond memories of that trip. JP was there with his folks as a 14 yr old, now he virtually owns the place! The sailing on the south side of Maui(Kihei), is a combo of points, reefs and funnily enough, speed sailing conditions! Maybe i'll get back there one day. Maybe Joel will let me come as his rig caddy!
