Anyone know if the water is okay now?

Would have thought too cold for algal growth....

Parks Vic still have a warning on it as not recommended for water based activities

I think the warning is more a result of the website not being updated but its worth a call to Trailmix Cafe in the Park- (03) 8790 4402

45, Anderson's Inlet?

Not good (speaking from a few attempts on that direction). Fairly gusty (But noted that you sail Lysterfield so probably not as much of a princess as myself!). There are also some very shallow sections along that run and often the water is mirky there. Be careful!

I guess it all depends on how desperate & fussy you are. In my opinion I find anything with north in it at Andersons inlet is rarely worth the trip. Excluding ENE, which seems to work ok at 45.

If its basically a due W then 45 is good - probably Sat should be good, but like Evan said, anything with too much N in it isnt that flash, so Sun I will be sussing out somewhere else.

Yep - that's the one. I love that place, one of the best sails ever there. Was quiet clean when I was last there in Feb.

Shame it doesn't work in Northerlies.

Can't get down till Sunday. Might end up doing the bay. Green Point....

Same here... really like it on the right direction. Had some of my best sessions there also, normally by myself or with one or two others. Also seen some fairly good wipeouts there, myself included. Good bump and jump to flat water spot.

I also enjoy 45 too, but last time I sailed there (over year now) I broke my wrist. It was not the locations fault, but some of the sailor and kit's fault.
I look forward to heading back down there soon.

That was a fairly "big" day. I think that particular area where you came off and broke your wrist has some of the most extreme chop I have ever encountered. Can be good fun though.

Ah...the memories! That was the day that Mother Nature decided to slap us around a little...
That day i hit a submerged tree!....27 knots to zero and my fin had got ajmmed on the branch of the tree!. After I checked that nothing was broken or leaking, I picked that tree up and smashed it into little pieces...it felt good!

I called the PARKS VIC office up there on Sunday. Said the algae level has dropped a lot and expect to open the park in a few weeks.

Could be a winter flat water north wind option soon.
