I have read previous posts about Lake Conneware and I am interested in trying it out next week. All posts indicate it works best on a southerly. As i am more likely to get northerlies I was wondering what it is like from the Stacey's Road entrance? Does that work on a N.W wind?

you can sail Connewarre on a northerly from this spot but I haven't done it in years. To the left of the launch it gets mighty shallow and I can't remember how much water you have on the right. Also rocky at the launch area.

On a northerly, best bets are barwon river on any tide but low tide gives you some great flat water see http://www.coastalwatch.com/camera/cameras_large.aspx?cam=5730&state=VIC (this will show you the tide at the mouth)
