I am down this Sunday so for those wanting me in their picture for Drift's speed challenge - look out for the Black Toyota Hilux at the Angling club.
For those interested I would like to discuss what has happened with the idea of the club so far and perhaps organise our first clinic.

See you there Salty. Forecast is livening up a little too according to Elders. Does a westerly work for Drift's assault on the record - which will be established no matter how fast he goes presumably?.

Have a look at www.weather.com.au which lists Inverloch on Sunday at 20kts. Do not know who to believe. Ejmack has been saying the Elders forecast for Inverloch has been conservative in the past. But I will be happy with anything in between. I think my gps times will be at the bottom of the ladder if a few of the serious boys come down but its a bit of fun.

Thanks Kato - would be good to catch up.
Ejmack - time to try out the new board - now which one is that? Choices, choices Futura or Kode. Kode or Futura? We will spend all our time drooling over them!!

Looking forward to it!

Well, if it gets rough (for Inverloch) and windy I'll probably pull out the new board. Got the fin sorted now so I'm keen to try it out. Otherwise the Futura. No GPS however so will have to keep out of eveyone's way.... might even sail on the other side of the sandbar if things get busy. Sunday's looking good!!!

What is Inverloch like for Freestyle sailing?

I've never sailed there but am keen to catch some of the wind on Sunday and it looks like Port Phillip might miss out and Sandy is a long way to go so I was thinking about Inverloch.

I don't want to get in the way of the speedsailors if this is speed sailing domain only...

Cheers,
Fletch

I reckon it'd be pretty good, especially in the shallow area's (all sand). Gets pretty busy with Kiters also. But when the main sandbar in front of the Angling club is exposed virtually no swell comes through, so very flat all over.

Hi FletcHuz

Do not worry about the speed sailors. The serious ones go to Sandy Point we are just the try hards
Flickyspinny has been a few times. Great flat water down the bottom end of the Inlet(Angling club) and a bit of bump and jump between the Jetty and the mouth of the Inlet(Town beach). Just need to be aware of the sand bars at low tide.
If you are there on Sunday introduce yourself. I am the guy in the black toyota hilux.
