Inverloch Windsurfing Club and Zu Boardsports are proud to announce the inaugural WOMEN ON WINDSURFERS event.

Sunday March 24, 10am at the Anderson Inlet Angling Club Carpark Inverloch

Apart from IWC and The Zu coaching staff we will also have JESSICA CRISP, Australia's Windsurfing Champion and four time Olympic representative.

This event is for all levels of windsurfing - come and try, beginner, intermediate and advanced. So to our girls and ladies, get amongst it in a supportive learning environment at a brilliant and safe sailing location.
Guys do not be shy, time to bring your partners, sisters, wives, mothers and friends along to give windsurfing a try and help the girls improve their skills.

For Paid up and Proud IWC members, this event will be free
For social IWC members, registration will be $15
For non IWC members, registration will be $35
For Yachting Vic members, registration will be $15

Disclaimer: As with all IWC events the club takes no responsibility for fun, laughter and friendship that happens at these events. We advise that whilst the club's First Aid Officer will be in attendance he has not been able to find a cure for conversation, friendlyness and side splitting laughter.

BTW - The IWC Master Chefs have gone into melt down as we have asked them to prepare another dish called "fruit salad and yoghurt" Ian "Sausage Sizzle" Fenney was caught mumbling "Its not real food if I can't cook it on the BBQ"

Please email president@inverlochwindsurf.org.au for registration

Awesome idea and concept.... And a great way to get more people hooked!

I think Cara Fenney- (the IWC women's rep) should be congratulated for getting this idea off the ground. :-)

In speaking with a number of our female windsurfers there is a real ground swell for this event and they are really wanting it to happen. Fantastic stuff.

Booked Jessica Crisp's airfares and she is very excited to be part of it.

Zu Boardsports are coming down with gear and instructors - hey Paul, who have you got instructing?

Sponsors on board

All go!

Cara(IWC Women's Rep) has taken control of this event. Woohoo - Now I can sit back!
Last I heard she was burning the midnight candle putting the final touches to this event.
Registrations are great
Lots of positive feedback coming through
Spoken to Jess - she is sorting out her wetsuit wardrobe, worried about the Melbourne weather.
All systems go! Now all I have to remember to do is pick her up from the airport

I'm soooooooooo excited about IWC and The Zu Boardsports Women On Water event this Sunday at Anderson's Inlet, Inverloch. The forcast looks good for beginners in the morning with the wind coming in strong later in the afternoon for those who just want to fly. Don't forget to bring some coins, as we will have delicious hot soup on offer for lunch as well as some sweet treats for when you need a pick me up. Looking forward to meeting Jessica Crisp and the team from Zu. If you haven't replied yet that's ok but the more women out on the water the better as this is our day and we must dominate! See you there!!!

Dear Doug

Thank you, all of the Inverloch Windsurfing Club and all the fantastic women windsurfers for a great day of windsurfing, food and fun.

It was great to hang with women (and a few men :-)lovers of windsurfing who showed me their unstoppable spirit ( even in the 25knots plus gusts there was no stopping them). They were all inspirations.

Keep up the great work.

Thank you again.
Best windsurfing wishes,
Jess

Just sharing an email from Jessica Crisp - A true Australian champion. All time great girl, a great coach and an inspiration to girls and guys. Well done Jess and well done to the 20 plus girls who all rocked in testing conditions of a gusty NW 15 - 30kts.

What a great day !

It was good to see so many women on the water in the challenging conditions. Awesome effort from the beginners and intermediates for dealing with the 5 - 25Knots on the day and we saw some great improvement from everyone!

A big highlight was coaching Cara cross the inlet in 30+ knots and only falling in once at the end!!! I think her arms might have got a bit longer after that!

We were impressed by Olympic and National Champion Jessica Crisp! It was great to sail and coach with her on the day. A big thanks to all The ZU teamriders and instructors involved!

Another great event very well organised by IWC, thanks for the great hospitality guys !
