Yep - Another great day down at Inverloch with a great crew. Decided to hand the mantle over to Moondo to run the day and he did a great day - Thanks Simon.

Arrived to Drift raising the Aussie flag on the Angling Club(ahemm - without permission) but June was ok with that when she arrived

Left Simon to the organisation whilst I pulled out the 20 - 30 yo Jet Division 2 Longboard and set about working out how to tie on the boom. Damnation - the mast broke - you would think they would last more than 20 years - any chance of a warranty! Use my new tech mast and get the sail to rig on it, tie on the Australian flag to the head of the sail and join everybody else for the sail past. Woohoo

What a picture with 15 plus rigs on the water. The Jet cruised up the first leg then broke a uni joint! I want my $55 back!!!(purchase cost of board off ebay) Tie on the mast base and cruising past everyone on the second run and the rope breaks.

Simmo and Drift pick me up on the third run and tow me back in!! Thanks guys.
After lunch the beach cricket was on. Bragging rights between the Kiters and Windsurfers where on the line. If IWC lost - I had to take a Kite Lesson

. If GoKite lost, Kate would have to take a windsurfing lesson

. A few of our IWC guys and gals turned out to be gun players. Pete the Postman(apart from having to administer a heart starter to him), Tim, Lozza, Sherelee,Jimmy and Woody brought the bacon home for IWC

Scorecard 40 to 33. Thanks to SHQ for the prize - Eyes Wide Open DVD and umpies hat and lanyard!
During this time Drift was out teaching 3 new club members on our newly purchased
club gear and returning the odd ball hit out into the deep!
Highlights for me - seeing 15 odd rigs on the water with Aussie flags flying and another 15 club members turn up to support the day even though they did not get wet, Roy's Aussie sunglasses, Antoine's Aussie Rash vest that sort of covered his private bits, IWC winning the inaugural beach cricket challenge and our mother's club and baby day care centre(what happened 18 months ago is what I want to know!)
AND the best thing was Summer(all of 5) hanging off the uphaul rope on the Club's 205 ltr Funster as Drift sails up and down the Inlet. Sorry Paul - you will need to invest in another board and rig soon!!!
In the interests of detente I decided to take a kiting lesson with Kate

Sorry guys - someone has got to suffer
