The wind was there all day. At times it lulled, but few minutes later up it went again.

What's the best forecast source for Invy? Which direction works the best - ESE? (I'm thinking of driving there everyday over the Xmas break).

Event summary now online!!!

It was another ripping day at Inverloch! Wind was perfect

MrCranky - Most members check all the forecasts and pick the best one, then cross their fingers! A combo of windguru, Willy weather & BOM MetEYE seems to work. MetEYE seems to be most accurate, especially within 48hrs.

Invy works in any direction except Due N. Anything from W to S to E in it is ideal for inlet blasting. For wave sailing, NW is cross off on the front beach, and E is side shore on the opposite tack, and NE also works out the entrance

Thanks. Does the wind usually kick in in the afternoon like a seabreeze? And when it's on, it's really on i.e. more than 18 knots? I just wonder if I should bring my light wind gear as well.

EDIT: I'm interested only in the inlet for now.

I use windguru (Andersons Inlet) Not many sea breezes for Invy our best is SE which will increase as the day gets longer.

I bring everything. 5.0 to 8.5, 86lt to 110lt. It all fits with a bit of extra rope to fasten together
