IWC has started off the new season with a full events calendar and more to be added
Please check out our calendar at www.inverlochwindsurf.org.au
There will be 4 GPS Free Races this year - Inverloch, Geelong, Port Phillip Bay and Sandy Point

The GPS Free Race is blocked into our calendar for a whole weekend however one day will be nominated, one week out, depending on forecast Red light/Green light system will run with final green light called on the Friday before the event. GPS Free Race will be the feature of the day however other racing formats will happen on the day depending on the conditions. So those without GPS's can still be involved. Other racing formats will allow for all skill levels from advanced beginner to experienced. Race day will run in conditions from 10 kts to 30kts so bring longboards, short boards and anything inbetween. Kato forgot to mention that it is now on for Saturday with the forecast looking so good and will be either Sandy Point or Inverloch. Kato will be running the event and he will need someone to assist load info into a laptop.

I learnt a new term from the kids today, Aux cord. Do we have an aux cord? Not sure what it is, but apparently we need one for data transfer.

TWO Green lights for Saturdays race/fun event.

All indications are that it will be at Sandy Point but will be confirmed on Friday. The current forecast is for 15/20kts SW with low tide at 12 ,making it perfect for most sailors to have a sail.

Remember everyone one can enter WV , IWC or neither , we'll cover you for your first event. Cost is $10 IWC, $20 WV or Non member.

Events will be 1/2hr GPS Freerace, Slalom, Course race (Which may include handicapping)

This is your chance to have a go at racing in a fun easy format ........with wind........(I hope )
