Hello long time windsurfer here but been out of the game for a few years wanting to buy a full kit pre loved hopefully currently looking iam 70kg my last board was a 1999 f2 ride which I thought was a pretty quick bay board id buy another if I could find one or is there something newer I could go for thats better faster handles chop better iam not up to date with more modern gear..is anyone selling a package? Try for something less than 10 years old. Where will you be sailing? I would aim for a free race board if speed is your thing. Its almost always too choppy on the bay to get the best out of a full slalom board. So think Severne Fox, Fanatic Blast, Starboard Futura around 105 litres. I think you will want 2 boards for the bay. A Free style wave for when there are almost actual waves for bump and jump and crumbly wave surfing. you could get away with a biggish FSW and sail it with a biggish single fin on the flat days, but it won't be as quick as a free race.
As for sails you will be surprised at how big a sail you can handle in 20 knots. Im 70 kg and use a 7.0 Severne GT Turbo in those conditions, then step down to a 5.5.
Ps. you will be thinking what the hell is going on when you first use newer gear. but once you get get used to it, it is far superior.
