What wind does Frangah work best in?

Have seen some pics floating around of really clean lines of swell coming in....... and dudes jumping on them......

Best wind and conditions for it to work?

WSW - 40knots!

One of the best places in the bay when it's on - IMO

That direction that is too westerly (onshore) for Dendy/Elwood but not westerly enough for Ricketts - that's when you know it's going to be good at Frankston - but it has to be really windy to get in there properly. Great jumping and riding to be had - see you next time it's on!

i dont like franga much, had only one or two good windsurfs there, they stufft up the car parking on frankston beach and its still full of druggys all round franga, so i try to stay clear of the place. The wind is quick to turn off cause of olivers hill. try the nude beach at suny side maybe

Yeah WSW - SW is pretty sick for jumping. Gets a decent sized bay swell when it is windy.
Howling northerlies that are too strong/gusty at Green Point are also good down there. Cross shore and little steep waves to jump.

Is it safe to sail there. I am having visions of my recent visit to Detroit.

Frangah makes Detroit seem like Singapore . . . .

Probably one of the few places on earth where on a 40kt freezing Winters day, you are actually safer in the water than on the land
