Went down and shot some footage of the lads at Connewarre. Out of Action due to stomach bug but kinda glad I had the day off - bloody hell it looked cold!

It was very cold - not that you would know by filming it in your car!!!! Nice to see the boards sitting pretty flat concidering the chop. Was a little inderpowered on the Combat unfortunately. Love the ending

Some great footage. The music reminded me of "Hawaii 5 O". Wish the ferry was cheaper, then I would come join you guys.

Hi all ,

What would be the max size fin ( weed ) you could use on the lake ?

It will depend on the board and sail size. I have used a 36cm Lessacher Duo weed on the lake with my big board. On Sunday I was using a 22cm Select Weedy.

Thanks OB, I was really thinking along the lines of depth of the lake and avoiding problems having the fin hit the bottom .

Looks like I will have to find a few weedys to suit.

Cheers Guys

You wont have to worry about the lake depth. Its more that the top of some of the weed beds are just below the surface and even then you can avoid those easily.

So would a 58cm weedy be ok . I am just thinking lighter winds with 9m on a big wide board .

By the way just reheaded a leading edge weedy 32cm from trim to tuttle base . Not sure why its raked because this thing is like a razor anyway

Looking forward to getting out with you all .

Looks like I am moving down from Melbourne with work in a couple of months so really will get back into the sailing again then .
