WV will have their Teach a Mate programs gear (couple of kids rigs, board and a 4.5m rig) and a couple of kits from SBHQ for the beginner clinic. All modern gear easy for learning on.

Also the WV clinics has a number of seasoned windsurfers as instructors, including WV's own ex-Olmypic sailor.

Bringing a mate down who is keen to learn how to windsurf on Sunday. Can I bags a learner setup for him?

Never sailed down there; look forward to meeting the locals and getting some tips on gybing :P

Worth mentioning that the Beginner Clinic is Free and you don't have to be a member of WV to join in.

I have had this question asked and just wanted to confirm.

Payment and WV membership is for the race only.

Parkdale was a great venue. Recommend the coffee made by the lovely British lady - superb!

From what I could see everyone enjoyed themselves and pretty much all learners could tack and move along by the end of the session. Shame the wind only fluffed about..... will put some pics up later today.

RS boards were a bit of fun, for the 60 seconds we had with wind, the boards felt like they wouldn't take much to plane. The gear felt super light for a 7.8m sail.

Nice bunch of peeps at Parkdale - think you guys have a great club going - 2 thumbs up :P

I've received heaps of positive feedback from the WV weekend events. One father advised me after the Sunday lesson at Parkdale, he went and bought some gear for his kid and they can't wait to do more windsurfing.

For the first WV event of the season, well done team. We have at least one new windsurfer owner amongst us.
