Snap poll.

Who here has young kids, and is often torn between spending time with them and going out to play when the winds up???

My wifes biggest issue with my windsurfing is the fact that I leave her behind with the kids.

Now on the otherhand if there was a some sort of childcare option on the beach, I could take the kids with me and she could have a "Me" day and the problem is solved.

I imagine that Beachside childcare would be an insurance nightmare and a bit of a pipe dream, but hey, a more ambitious person with childcare qualifications might make a nice business out of it on weekends if you take into account how many people participate in watsersports on weekends.

I choose the kids every time!

In saying that, sometimes they want to just hang around the house with their mum & do their own thing...and if it's windy, they usually say "Dad, wind's up, you should be windsurfing!"

Otherwise, all to beach! Kids love it, & wife gets a break sitting back relaxing while they play in the sand/water.

Plenty of dodgy characters hanging around the bayside beaches who I am sure would be quite happy to look after your kids

Flipper tells me often how he would prefer to look after kids than go windsurfing. He may feed them redbull though.

a mate of mine did exactly this back in the UK and it went off.
its not just watermen that want their kids doing something good outdoors, heaps of yummy mummys were into it too.

my bud set up a kinder surf school on a beach that occasionally got surf.
he arranged beach activities, races and such for kiddies during the week and wkends.

when the surf was flat hed take the older ones longboarding along the prom and practice some bitumen carving.

mums and dads were flocking to bring their kids to this ''cool'' daycare.

I dont know much more about it than that, but to set it up he had about 30 kids wetties, few skateboards, balls, cones etc for beach races/ games in a large shed down by the beach.

elwood scout hut would be perfect for summin like that here.
