Hey Pat,

Good to catch up with everyone down there again. Geee Red gets gumpy when there is no wind and what is it with that skittles game? Is he going senile?
Jokes aside it was great to see around 14 + sails out on the water in sub planing conditions, Mick's new trailer and even my new harness scored a few comments. Peter's muffins where legendary of course and Mick's cheese platter is starting to get some acclaim also. The BBQ was not that great so if anyone dies of food poisoning blame the smelly silt we had to walk through to get out to the water.
We also need to talk with Mick and Simon about their technique - standing on the front of the board and lifting the fin out of the water is not the right way to go fast. And Red, sailing 2 boards at once does not make you go twice as fast either

No arguments here!

On a more serious note - how'd the new trailer go?

Trailer was great EJ, although on the way down to catch the ferry over to Queenscliff I couldn't get over the amount of people waving to me as they went past. "Gee, this trailer brings out the best in people" I thought, smiling and waving back. I pulled up at a set of lights and a bloke wound his window down and said "mate, your rear tailgate is down". Not so friendly after all!!!

It was awesome to have everything in one place and not have to pack/unpack every day.

Thanks to all involved for organizing these days.

Even though the wind was very light, it was good fun to putt along, try some tacks and jibes, and some very interesting water to cross, couldn't get over how clear it was out in the middle, and only 8 foot or so deep.

Megs and I made the trip across for the first time to sail with the Geelong crew.

It was great to meet you all!

The muffins were tops and 3 was just enough.

We wished there was more wind, but I still had a great time sailing along 1 handed for what seemed forever. That place would be great in a high tide and stronger breeze.

Highs:
Muffins
Reds jokes
friendliness of everyone there
flushing toilets
Micks cheese platter
seeing huge sails on the water
long reaches
Simon planing

Lows:
Low breeze
smelly mud
weed weed weed weed
Did i mention weed?
being abused by the fisherman for catching his line
BBQ not working very well

Thanks to everyone there. Our hosts made us most welcome and I'm looking forward to returning the favour and having a sail on our side of town.

Red,
I don't want to complain too much but the location did appear a bit too far from a cafe.
This is a bit extreme and unheard of for the Inverloch crew.....I was a bit shocked to find my cafe latte had gone lukewarm by the time I arrived.....

I just realised that through all this discussion we have not heard one peep from the IWC chief organiser of this event on why he piked. Was it the threat of the jetty or bouys or was he the irrate fisherman that was abusing everyone Crowie stand up and confess.

So you don't go looking for it yourself, I've already tracked down the soundtrack to my predictably tragic response.

Its not good I'm afraid...head down...glum...this 'no show' problem wouldn't have occured this time last year, but then that's what happens when 2 become 3 and, to completely mis-quote Princess Diana, sometimes there's just no room for a 4th person in this relationship - in this case my Futura rather than Horseface Parker Bowles. So, nipper wakes up with conjunctivitis at 3am on the day of the Roadtrip. I'd been on the lash the night before and, to be honest, its not easy when you've not been on the lash the night before. As economic migrants leaching off the Australian taxpayer, we're without grandparents in this wide brown land, and couldn't just flick the patient off to granny with a ''look after him for the day and I'll be back by 8pm and sort his bright pink eyes out while you're at it''. And with just the one car, it was a bit of a dilemma between RRRRRRRRRRRRRoadtrip!! or waiting for the pharmacy to open at 9am to administer appropriate TLC to aforementioned infant. So, and now the violins are holstered up against the shoulder to start playing some funereal music, I had to make a fatherly call. How pathetic is that! A terrible example for the youngsters. It won't happen again.

PRESS RELEASE...PRESS RELEASE...PRESS RELEASE...PRESS RELEASE...PRESS RELEASE...

Archeologists have uncovered the fossilized remains of some sort of sailing apparatus in a garage in Brighton. According to experts, the apparatus appears to be a "windsurfer", but the build up of silt and dust indicates a lack of use.
The Croweman Fossil, as it has become known, is a fine example of a windsurfing specimen.
Its lack of contact with salt water has preserved the fossil to an amazing extent, giving us a great insight into the carefree and endless pursuits that occurred in the distant past.....

Ahemm Jodi - What goes on on road trips stays on road trips so no pics.
Red doing a wind dance around a KA sail with nothing on but a beanie is something that should never be published. Also the cranky fisher folk being sacrificed to the wind gods as a peace offering is something that we should not allow our kids to see. I think
K Dog even offered up no s#x with the wife for a month - now that pleased the wind god and we went from 8 kts to 13 kts. late in the afternoon when we where all packing up.

Nearly one week down and my testicles have not exploded.... yet.

I should make up a T-Shirt "I windsurfed Swan Bay and all I have to show for it is this horrible smell I can't wash out and sore nuts!"
