So on average max temp,3 degrees.
Wind gusty 15,30 knots ,
Snowing at sea level.
And windsurfing was taking place .

You are a mad bunch of hicksville, mentally challenged people.
15 sailors south by mean ,and 20 min of trickery, before rigga, set in ,.
Is that a dick, or ,a tic tack.
Well done , summer training.
.

You had a wind chill factor according to the (2001)scales of the US weather department of -2.69 C based on air temp 4c wind speed being 50km an hour this doesn't allow for being wet while in the ocean which makes it feel colder even in Summer. Well done to those hard
core enough to sail on the coldest day in four years

Had a really cold sail at Stanley on Saturday morning (on the water at 7.45). At 8 am the Bureau reading was Temp 3.9 C, App Temp -10.4, WSW 35 to 44 knots.
The App Temp didn't get above 0 all day. Hopefully never experience that again.

I got an hour and a half on the water at Lagoon on Saturday morning, with all my mates.

I got my hands wet once, and decided not to do that again. My fingers hurt so much I couldn't even touch them to warm them up. I would not bother trying to wear gloves though - booties are nuisance enough. Suffer it once every now and then. At least the Patagonia R4 was toasty.

Temp in the car said 5 degrees. Wind was gusting from 22 knots up to about 35 knots.

It was c-c-c-c-c-c-crap.

Can't believe Simon was out there with nothing on his head. That would be major ice-cream head conditions.

While my fingers were cold at Moorlands (devonport) on Saturday, the palmless mitts (Damo has been selling) were a blessing. Without them I think it would have been frostbitten fingers. It really has to be VERY good conditions to justify sailing when there's snow forecast.
