Tasmania Early Monday a deep trough will cross the state bringing strong to damaging North West winds gusting over 90km hr along with Heavy Rain to Northern districts. There is a potential for 50 to 100mm in 24hrs which could produce some flooding.During Tuesday a significant cold front moves in from the West which is likely to maintain the strong to damaging Westerly winds gusting to over 90km hr, these winds may also exceed 125km hr on elevated areas. Moderate rainfall is expected to shift to the West coast where up to 50mm is likely in 24hrs. A very cold air mass arrives in the afternoon producing heavy snow down to 600 meters over night especially through elevated Western, Southern and Central districts.On Wednesday morning an even colder air mass pushes in which lowers the snow level down to 200 meters. There is a possibility that snow will fall at sea level South of a line from Queenstown to Hobart. Snow falls are likely to be heavy through elevated Western, Southern and Central districts. Strong to damaging winds are likely to remain in place during the day with gusts over 90 km hr. Up to 50cm of snow is likely to fall within a 48hr time frame on elevated areas in the Western, Southern and Central districts.
