I'm hoping to make it down, might even just practice balancing on the old tencate runner I have. I reckon I might be a big enough sail if it's as windy as they reckon it may be...[}:)]

The North guys kicked butt today! Well done Russ on a good sail. You did the right thing the wind was better during the day. I sat in the car sulking from 3 till 5, then the wind picked up and it was sailable again although really gusty with alot of NW nearly NNW at times.

Houston you have to sail 2 metres off the sand bar or closer if deep enough where its dead flat and hope you get a massive gust to lay off and go really deep at least thats what I've learnt watching Dave and Perks, now just have to do it!!

Kalub well done,

34 is super fast for Dorins, we need to go up north soon and give the bar a crack.
I needed the 7.3 for most of the morning yesterday it was marginal at best but still fun.

Its hard to believe in one days effort the Tassie Speed Seekers team are in 2nd position in Australia.

Cheers Russ

Hey guys,

so south to south west today at 10 to 20 knots reaching 25... Does that suggest Doran's will be on again this arvo?

It was great to actually meet someone off here yesterday, thanks for the advice Buzzy (despite the rush you were in... ) And yep. looked to me like you were honking along!

I didnt even know myself, it was kinda crap when I got there. the forecast said 10-20 maybe 25 and dropping during the afternoon. When I hit the water I thought oh crap this is going to be average. I could only get 28knots max so I decided to head up wind for a quick half hour and then head home. I was on and off the plane but the gusts were a nice strength and before I knew it I become obssesed with a nautical mile, I wanted 30. I'd start a run then the gust would die and I'd turn around and head back to wait for the next and before I knew it a couple of hours had gone by and I was up to 70 km so I decided to keep going to get a pb. I honestly didn't set out to do anything other than get a bit of an after work sail in, it just progressed from there. I didn't even expect to sail today I was going to pick up my new camera but the lenses didnt arrive so I sulked(doing that alot lately back to Dorans. I did end up getting over 30 knot for NM, but that was with the Garmin and that doesn't count now I've got the GT31. Garmin and GT31 on Ka72, Garmin only has 113km cause I turned it off early cause it run out of memory.

Well done Kaleb, that a great effort! I nearly rang you this arvo to see if you were going for a sail and if their was wind, so i should of I was keen for a sail! (not that my speeds would of counted anyway )
