Hey guys,

currently planning a trip to Tassie. Do you got any recommondations where to find good winds and conditions in Novermber?
I?m looking for jump and bump conditions and I would love to get more into wave sailing and improve it.
Is there any shops at the spots to rent gear?
Would appreciate some advice or even share a session when I?m there!
Cheers Jonas

Damien at Jay Sails may be able to help with gear, but other than that, nowhere to hire anything. Where would you be spending most of your time? Dorans Road (near Lauderdale,) is popular for bump-n-jump, but no surf there. Plenty of surf beaches, but dependent on wind direction.

Check out thespotguide.com.au
Map seems buggered but links on left work.
Wind's been great so far this season. Plenty of westerlies for wave sailing at Marrawah.

Hey Jonas, the north coast is great for westerly wind - low head area, bell buoy beach and bakers beach. very consistent wind great for bump and jump or waves.. Marrawah for NE or SW. Many of the beaches on the east coast work in southerly or NE patterns. Derwent river, south arm beaches, carlton beach are the main areas around hobart.. I'd suggest being mobile and travelling based on the forecast if you can

And if I am bringing my longboard down for a month of van touring in Feb, are there plenty of spots to play any explore with relative protection?

short answer, yes! Apart from the west coast

plenty of sheltered rivers and bays all over tas, the more common ones to sail are:
North coast - Stanley, Port Sorell, Low Head area
East coast - Freycinet, St Georges Bay
South coast - derwent river, south arm area, white beach, dunalley/marions bay

but really, just drive around and go out anywhere
