Hey Damien, have been battling with 'old' gear down here on Bruny by myself for too long and am now in a position to really bring myself and my gear into this century!!
I will call the mobile No. to introduce myself and bombard you with Q's re hiring/borrowing/renting/whatever some decent learner-intermediate equip for a couple of weeks. Also to get info on signing up and becoming a member of Windsurfing Tas as well. Have been reading the Tassie forums for over two years now and itching to step up with more relevant gear to my 'level' and beyond.

seapig if you want to hire some gear from the club you're welcome give my a call on 0417 577884 and we can organise. We've got two types of boards, true beginner and intermediate, I reckon you'd want the latter but we can talk about it over the phone.

Cheers pal
Had the chance to speak to 'Damo' this morning and was given all the good info. Will give you the courtesy call and some lead time to organise to link up. Am in the process of signing up to WT at the moment. I'm back out to sea for another short swing in about ten days or so but only for a fortnight then really looking forward to getting on the water for my time off. (Especially the opportunity to try some latter day/date equipment) Looking forward to linking up with other board sailors too as have been struggling to keep up enthusiasm down here on my own. Haven't spotted anyone else on the bay here in years and always jealous of the crew I see flying across the river when I deliver a boat to or from Hobart to Bruny.
Reading the forums have been a good way to keep across what you lot have been up to though. awesome to read about the Tassie contingent giving the GPS records a nudge as well.
