After successful Winter racing at Lauderdale Yacht Club (LYC), everyone is keen to keep racing over the summer months. We have put together a Calendar for the 2019/2020 season. Please like the "Southern Windsurfers" page, however, being the first year there is a lot of of info to digest. So please send me an email (jochau@iinet.net.au) to be included on the distribution list which will explain everything.

In a nutshell there will be course racing once a month at Sandy Bay Sailing Club (SBSC) on a Saturday, LYC on a Sunday and Tamar Yacht Club (TYC) on a Sunday. We have also arranged a Windsurfer division for the PJ Super Series (SBSC), King of the Bay (LYC) and TYC Regatta. The State Windsurfer Championships will be held at SBSC on 21/22 March and lastly there will be a Statewide Travellers Trophy.

Our first event is Saturday 19th October at SBSC. Nick Bez (recently won the LT Worlds at Lake Garda) will be down to give us some tips and traps on the new Windsurfer LT. We will then have some course racing in the afternoon. Nick will repeat the same at LYC on Sunday 20th October with course racing in the afternoon.

So if course racing is your thing, or you want to get back into it, we'd love to hear from you. We will also include our events on the Windsurfing Tasmania Calendar which will be published shortly.

Cheers Jo

Top effort by you and Clarence especially, plus the rest of those in WT committee who helped to get this up.

"Open" categoy includes foils, raceboards, formula. So anyone who wants to come and have go, you'll be welcome.

If you want to do the whole season in "open" class with a chance for the title, you will need to nominate one board - two sails for the season.

Put the weekend of 19/20 Oct in your diaries.

Unique opportunity to meet with and learn from the Windsurfer LT champ himself, Mr Nick Bez.

All the action will be around SBSC and Lauderdale.

Contact myself or Jo if you want more info.
