There's less than a week till the SHQ Sandy Point Melbourne Cup kicks off! This year is going to be better than ever with heaps of great events and prizes lined up.
All there is to do now is cross your fingers and hope that the wind gods deliver!!

Last year was awesome with a fun swell and cross off Easterly leading up to the event, delivering those who turned up early with some great down the line wavesailing.

The long weekend kicked off with sweet weather allowing for everyone to get out SUPing and surfing. Then we were treated to some decent W-SW wind, perfect for slalom and blasting in Shallow Inlet and offering some fun jumping for the wave crew up in the corner of Waratah Bay.

At the moment the long range forecast is looking promising with decent Easterly winds on Saturday and some swell.

If you are coming make sure you have pre-registered online to go into the running for a $300 Gift Voucher. Check it out here: http://www.shq.com.au/products/sandy-point-registration

Hope to see many of you there - it's gonna be awesome!!

Check out the video wrap up from last year!

this years sandypoint trip had its ups and downs, but it usually turns it on at some point down there, saturday was a pretty awesome wavesail at long-arms, cross off, and clean head high waves.

maybe next year Houston.... a two week break from work is called a holiday...
