This weekend is looking awesome. Should be able to get good distance, NM and 1HR. Sue has just had a major liver operation which went really well so I will be unavailable. Good luck to all those who can get out and hopefully the Tassie Speed Seekers will be on top this weekend.

I was just about to start a thread on this, i'm thinking about going to Montagu if the forecast is good. I reckon SSW there could be really good

Who's sailed the South Arm isthmus on the sandflats (Ralph's Bay)?
Could be good with a SSW wind, and high tide 2.00 Sat.

May be down in Hobart on Sunday. Any idea of where will be the best place for a sail?

Jordo, I would probably go straight to Dorans. From there you will be able to find out where everyone is sailing. Most likely it will be Dorans, Mortimer or the neck at South Arm depending on the tide.

I'll be going for afternoon speed sail at dorans. But hard to get a Camry into mortimer, unless people are going to try the neck?

Kaleb and I went out to the Iron Pot, he got a ride on about 3/4 mast wave but by the time I got there the wind turned to sh.t. I went far too close for comfort and nearly hit the pot.....then turned round for a 1/2 slog back home....still a lot of fun and now we know it would be great on a staedy westerly, difinitely try again
