Looking at the forecast Buzzy will be going off in the "pond" on Wednesday. Have to see if I get my work done, 10 degrees and rain sounds very uninviting.

Well Kazz that means youll have to leave work earlier to go sail for an hour before your haircut. You certainly wont be able to sail after, I think peroxide blonde needs time to settle before being exposed to water

I'm thinking of taking the day off to sail tomorrow - are you going to be well enough Kaleb to drag yourself out of bed?

Excellent!! Steve and Russ are both keen too!! Wonder where to go?

High tide most of the day, plus the low pressure will bump the water level up even further. May be a bit too high for Cremorne? Probably a good opportunity for a 1 hr at the top of Mortimer, in behind the isthmus, as there should be plenty of water right in close to the land. Forecast for heavy rain early, maybe clearing a bit by 10am, with strong SSW all day, so maybe head out from Mortimer at around 11am and sail up into the top of the Bay?

Cannot do landscaping work in heavy rain so unfortunately will not be able to go to work tomorrow. Dropping kids off to Tennis (should be ok for that shouldnt it) at 9am and then heading to Mortimer if thats where everyon is going to.

Watch out if sailing on the Derwent today as wind gusts are forecast for up to 250 knots

DERWENT ESTUARY, north of Iron Pot:
Southwest to southerly winds 15 to 250 knots, possibly 35 knots at times about
southern parts. Winds then easing a little late in the day

Dave you just spoilt my fun, I had copied the Derwent E forecast and was about to put it on here. 250 Knots sounds scary. Good luck today everyone sailing in Hobart. Its sooooo windy on the river. Best of luck at Montague team.
