For anyone who could not make it - it happened.

Bakers behaved itself within reason and dealt up top-of-5m wind most of the day, and some nice if variable ramps.

16 sailers on the water I believe - a record I suspect - and I THINK that a good time was had by all.

It was really good to see the newcomers (to waves) dealt some manageable conditions and given a good opportunity to 'get out there'.

Sailers from all over the state turned up, and this was a really good kick-off for Windsurfing Tas. As far as I know, nobody died...not so much as a minor injury, unless 'bone-weary' is an injury - it certainly feels like it at the moment.

Well done all concerned!!!!!!!

Pictures may take an hour or two to sort this evening but the results are as follows.
I have taken all ballot votes allocating 5 points for a first vote, 4 points for a second vote, etc etc to 5th vote.
Points were allocated to competition / member entrants only.

When does a post contain too many photos ? I am struggling with this question after editing the collection of photos from the day down to about 45.
So many on the water equates with so many photos.

Wow..now that's an successful event . Thanks to Gill and Al for organising the event and all the participants for putting on a great show. Even though the wind was a bit patchy everyone made the most of it with some impressive jumping and riding. Great to watch. Thanks for the pics Steve and Gill, they capture the day really well

good photos thanks......looks like the launch spot was right up the top end near Port Sorrell....Bakers was worth the drive.......a bit nippy though, but that goes with the territory. A beautiful stretch of coastline to hold your event.

Wow, drool, drool. Hopefully I'll be free for the next one.

Well done on the organisation! Sorry to have missed it, but great to see the weather turn it on and everyone have a good time.

I hope so Kazza - Gil and I went head to head until she pipped me at the post just at the last minute. It will be good to have another competitor in the ladies competition.

A real credit to you Gill (and Al)! While i was kicking back on the couch feeling knackered, you were loading pics and writing articles! Please don't be shy to ask for assistance.

It was fantastic to sail with and watch such a skilled bunch of sailors. Gives a newbie a sense of motivation for the new season.

Great work Gill and Al and congratulations to clarkie for some really smooth Back Loops to take the win. Was a perfect location selection for the start of a sailing season, can't wait to catch up with every again for some more fun. Not sure if I'm sore from sailing or the 7 hours driving, certainly didn't get these blisters from the steering wheel
