I missed last Thursday but it sounds a like there was a good turn out. This Thursday looks to be windy from the ESE early. There are a few options depending how Easterly it is, maybe Bell Buoy or Greens or even Bakers?

The downside is that its all off a Low pressure system so a little unreliable and its on that other Tack.......OK for those who used to be Long Reef regulars but not for me......just call me Al Kook...I can not sail that tack at all

Bell Buoy is cross shore at the western end in a wsw wind direction but pretty onshore at the northern end in that direction.

I have sailed there in an easterly and it is cross off in the middle of the beach and cross on at the western end.

They were forecasting ESE for the morning which could work, now they are suggesting SE in the morning which is less likely to work, though the local direction could still be easterly. There is always the river if Bell buoy doesnt happen (might need a lift from Kelso if the wind stops)

There is a lot more wind at Low Head than BOM is suggesting I think their instruments are sheltered from this direction.

I spent about 90 minutes on the water at Lagoon very powered up on a 5.7 in the Southerly. It was pretty solid out in the middle but a bit sheltered in Lagoon Bay.

Pretty cold and miserable down here. Drizzling rain and not that inviting for water-sports. Looks like the weather's a bit better where you are.

Same in the south. This is why I don't like winter it makes me feel a bit blue.
