Forecast may change, but wind should be generally from the West all around the state, all weekend.

I'm thinking of heading to Henty on Saturday morning, staying the night in Strahan and then heading back Sunday evening. This should allow sailing in what should be a SW'er on Saturday afternoon and a WNW'er on Sunday morning.

Alternatively, Hawley is looking pretty epic for a low tide session midday on Sunday. Could always do that on the way back from Henty (the long way back) if the Saturday afternoon session had been enough to check out what's happening at Henty after all of the rain we've had.

Any takers for a trip to Henty .... ?

Forecast has already faded quite a bit. Looks like the system is moving through quicker and more below us.

Might keep an eye on conditions for the Swanick River Mouth, at the end of Dolphin Sands Road near Swansea.

Johno has sailed here and reckons its good at low tide in a SW'er and that what it should be on Saturday morning (low tide is around 11am).

Dave, I will be at Bicheno this weekend, meant to be putting in some windows but if its too windy I couldnt possibly do that so I may have to go for a sail. Swanick is looking Ok about 10 am low tide 25-35kts on buoy weather. Other than that West inlet at Stanley would be good.
