For those who only see radical pics of sailing on the west coast and keep away because it looks and sounds too daunting to go anywhere near, well more often than not the swell can can be small and will vary depending on where you sail. The waves at Greens are usually pretty small because the swell has to wrap around the point to get in. This is a great spot to start wave sailing in an absolutley mind blowing setting.
Getting a bit cold now but next season we'll organise a few fun weekends.
Below are pics of Tappo on one of these rare moments this old legend gets on the water

Great idea Houston. Safety in numbers and all that - I'd definately feel better sailing there if there were a few others out.
The most daunting part would probably be tackling the monster steak at the pub.

We'll organise a few weekends at Marrawah next season, anytime from Sept on. It'd be great to sync with the speed and slalom guys when they go to Stanely, maybe stay with them and have a few drinks, that's if they're up to it, there's a rumour going around that they're pretty soft.

Johno, glad you got a sail, haven't had one done here for couple of weeks, forgot what it's like. still good to catch up with you guys, we normally camp at Greens which is the coldest campsite in the state so it'd be a change to go back to Stanley for a quiet little drop.
