I saw the title of this thread and immediately started thinking about which of my three boards I would keep if I were only allowed one. The conclusion I came to (without opening the thread) was my 2011 94L Kode

I've got the 86 Kode, love it!! For a bit more range (ie larger sails), I'm sure the 94 would be even better.

Not to be too one eyed., these boards got best in review as well!.
i think it comes down to who pays who!!.

AND THE JP 93 FSW
"Target Buyer

The JP was arguably the most radical board in this group. In a straight line, it planes early, is fast, exciting and has good top end control. In the air it was compact, light and really great for jumping. And on the wave it had the most potent performance of this group.
"
AND THE FANATIC 95 FSW.
"Target Buyer

The Fanatic Freewave is arguably the best all-round freewave board of this group. On the wave face only the JP can challenge it for aggressive turning, but the Fanatic will shine through for most with its easy going and predictable nature. In a straight line it was really fun to ride, had decent speed and was great for jumping. And if it that wasn?t endorsement enough, Victor Fernandez chose to use this exact board in his recent PWA heats, so it must be good!

These are quotes from 2013 product reviews not 2014 boards of which the Kode has recieved higher reviews in the posted test. No one getting paid for the current reviews, maybe for the 2013 ones mentioned though. Thanks for pointing that out

I do like my Starboard kode 82 twin.though, and my JP 93 as well. I think all fsw boards these days should have the three fin option. Or two as with kode 92..

They're wave boards you muppett!!!!!

Its probably worth noting the test does not include any wave riding and is biased towards blasting, bump and jump general all round sailing(Dorans, Derwent river, Lauderdale, Clifton etc.). It tops the list in these areas due to many reasons including having a single fin setup, this does however limit it's W coverage in FSW. But thats why we have wave boards with multi fins Saying that, the review does not cover the full range required by FSW boards, focus is on freestyle, jumping and blasting, not waveriding where the multifin boards have a slight edge.

FSW, Wave, can be a fine line with some of the boards now.
Here is a 2014 windsuf review of 'wave' 95 litres for those who like to catch a wave AND still great for Bump and Jump. Or if your main area is bump and jump then go the FSW model from the same manufactures.

Could only afford one new board at the time, and Sussed out ,with help from those in the know , that the freestyle wave JP 93 litre 1010;circca was the board for my Massive,81 kg bulk frame, :-)goes fast, jumps good, will wave ride , can uphaul, great board, can ride 15 knots ,to ,40 knots, since then have bought second hand fanatic 2013 ,101 quad, for waves side shore only, the difference in the waves is unreal , even when the wind is blowing, 30;+ knots, I would preffer to use 101 than jp fsw ,turns on a dime, great for down line sailling. Onshore it's back to JP, cause it does every thing, so if money isn't an option you should own about 10 different boards to cover all sailling, I know I can only dream at the moment, but as said Freestyle wave boards do everything and cover all sailling just make sure it has enough litres for your weight. or buy 10 boards and make the best of any wind yeeha.

Simply get a fast rocker waveboard that just floats you in 5,7 weather(83 to 93 litres for most people)with three fins in you can use it for down the line wave riding ( goats ,carlton, greens) and in single fin mode for onshore jumping (park, clifton, cremorne) two boards in one.The real test will come when you take it to back of lighthouse catch a rail on a mast and half high wave and end up on the reef with one board in two pieces

As Appleman said FSW as your general board for any sailing conditions unless you want to go discipline specific.
The board below looks like its an awesome board just for that and its the fastest FSW board. I know one Shorty that could do with one.
