Thinking of sailing the pond (Cremorne) tomorrow. What height tide do you need to be able to sail right across the bay (like we were doing in the slalom racing last year) without hitting a 36 fin on the bottom?

Cheers

I would not use a 36 fin at any time when sailing out of the channel. 32 is a safer bet, but there are still sections of oysters that you may find even on a high tide. My rule is either stay in the channel or stay tight to the racks or you just may find a clump of oysters. Cant put a height on it as never taken much notice of tide heights when sailing there.
