Lets get behind Kaleb and Dave our team mates going for it in Henty on the Golden Mile tomorrow.
All the best boys!!!!!
I am going to give a $50 prize to the person who picks closest to the Nautical mile speed average between both in knots. To enter there must be a genuine well wish for the boys and an Nautical mile speed average.
Why not have fun as well picking the highest peak speed of both for $10 as well.
My estimate is 37.58 knots average![]()

Yeah good luck with the conditions guys, I personally delivered (from one end of the state to the other) Kaleb's new speed weapon in time for him to take it, so am expecting some impressive numbers.
I'll go 36.69 for the mile.
Max speeds:
Dave - 45.50
Johno - 40.05
Kaleb - 40.05
now that would be 3 happy amigos!
Great idea Russ!! Not sure if I can enter, but unofficially I'll say 36.00 NM for the TSS.
I'm here now in the cabin at Strahan and the wind is just starting to blow ...
Yes you can enter Dave
Kaleb is about 30 min away from you now.
Best of luck to you and the rest of the team.
We will all be behind you guys GO Boys!!!!!
I'll go for 2 sec:
Dave 43
Johno 40
Kaleb 41
Izaak 40
Perks 42 if you're going
Ant 35 if I was there
Russ I'll add to your prize - one carton of stubbies
Go for it guys
Good morning all
Overcast with rain and a little bit of wind around, hopeing to head off about 7 this morning.
I have to thank Easty for bringing my board down to Hobart, cheers mate very much appreciated. And thanks to Vando(QLD) for getting my fin to me in time![]()
Dave is preparing himself by snoring! Anthony and Izaak are still tucked up in bed. My ADHD kicked in about 4am after going to bed at 1.30. I found it so much easier talking to Dave about windsurfing than it is to talk at Jodi about it![]()
My personal goal for first tme in flat water:
38 knot 2sec
33 NM
any thing higher is a bonus.
Tasmanian records for sailors(actually done in Tasmania that is):
Dave; 2sec=41.75, NM=32.16
Anthony; 2sec=41.71, NM=30.095
Izaak; 2sec=39.902, NM=28.965
Johno; 2sec=38.6, NM=27.132
Kaleb; 2sec=35.82, NM=30.29
