The wind was really wierd today. Blowing a good 15 knot NE off Kingston and BBay all morning. Then I was at Old Beach late morning and blowing Northerly there, by the time I got back to kingston around 2pm the NE had died out and it was coming in from the N. Then like Buzzy said around 5.30 a really late Southerly Seabreeze had come in.
You guys just aren't committed, Brett and Jordon arrived at the pond, found F all wind, turned back to Dorans, sat there patiently for gawd knows how long, gave up and met me at Cremorne front beach, intensive discussion set us on the trip back to Dorans knowing all the time in our minds we had a chance of breaking the 40 knot barrier with what could be perfect conditions (off shore 25 knots) only to find 5 knots, and that's when damo turned up, with a motivational speach from the master himself on the power of positive thinking we double backed and headed off back down to the pond. Got there and it was planing weather till we realised it was a bloody seed boat not a sail board. Not to be put off we perservered, sat and waited and waited and waited for the seabreeze to really kicked in, well it didn't, but we came to the conclusion like we have so many times before, Tassie has the potential of being the best windsurfing spot in the world, we only need another 20 knots, consistency, great waves, any waves, nice weather...etc.... not too much to ask.
